The video was super choppy from here and I have bandwidth to burn at this time of the day. A little disappointing, but I'm sure (fingers crossed) someone will have a clean recording of it that they will make available.

The Windows Media stream was working for me (the others were giving the
database error), but it's all over now.
There's a press conference at 10:00am EST, but I'm not sure if it's going to
be webcast or not.

It didn't work too bad. Does anyone know why it was pretty much over at 9:30, when they said it would start? Did they start a half-hour early or something?

I saw that also. Switched to windows media stream which was working fine.
However,.. stream was not available on a IPv6 only host. Epic fail!

It definitely started at 9:30, and it was very short.
Boring actually. But that's the way it should have been. Not like this was a surprise. Even the reporter from ZDNet asked "since we gave out the last 2 to APNIC last week, why is this day important?" If ZDNet gets it, NANOG (actually *NOG) members should as well.
That said, I guess just like when any long time friend leaves us, we should have a ceremony to mark the passing.
I see Mr. Kolkman is involved in this press conference, and can therefore assume that Bert - working behind the scenes as he usually does - is fully responsible for depletion.
