You're assuming the original act was revenge. Which part of "this is an act
of War" don't you understand? The death toll of this act is projected at
twice the number killed in Pearl Harbor.
This is a war of survival. I, for one, am not going to go quietly.

One way to look at it is that our response needs to be more sophisticated than
'simple revenge' to have a hope of making any difference at all.
Let's just hope the "known to quickly expire" attention of the American public
can hang with it.
