RE: Usage Stats

Webtrends at www.webtrends.com is what I consider to be an outstanding
product (I NO NOT WORK FOR THEM). It runs on 95 or NT and can pull logs
from any OS that it can get the server access logs from. The access can be
via ftp, HTTPD, network login and I think some other ways.

It is very inexpensive (I think around 400.00) - We have used it for about
2 months - think it is one of our best buys.

We also use WebTrends, love it dearly...can you coax it into giving
transfer totals though? Thats what I thought they were refering to, but
now that I think about it, perhaps not...I would myself dearly love an
easy way to measure bandwidth used by each client.

Anyone know of such a tool? For NT or Linux?

This discussion should probably not be on the nanog list.

I use getstats on linux for this task. You can find pointers to
it, as well as my hacks, on my isp web page, http://www.mtiweb.com/isp/.
