Anyone know where I can find aprox. stats. on number and
size of ISP's in north america? Is this presently tracked
(guessed at?) anywhere?
Is it even trackable? 
They sell a directory with information on the over 3,000 ISP's
currently operating in North America.

Boardwatch (http://www.boardwatch.com/) has created quite a directory.
They actually called everybody listed, so their numbers are somewhat
"real".
"The List" (http://thelist.iworld.com/) also has quite a comprehensive
list.
