MPLS forwarding for L3VPN only (IOS)

I have only GRT and L3VPN traffic and would like to use MPLS forwarding only
for L3VPN.

Is it possible?

Is there anyone out there who has a position on whether it is worth the effort to map Multi-root EVPL (E-TREE) atop VPLS or to await for PBB-TE and MEF to come up with somekind of a common roadmap ?
