It sure would be nice if everyone would use the RA

Then we could filter better.

cxn:~$ whois -h whois.ra.net 2711
%% No entries found for the selected source(s).
cxn:~$ whois -h whois.ra.net as2711
%% No entries found for the selected source(s).
cxn:~$ whois -h whois.ra.net as-2711
%% No entries found for the selected source(s).

Or, decentralize that function...

;; QUERY SECTION:
;; 2711.rdi.int, type = TXT, class = IN

;; ANSWER SECTION:
2711.rdi.int. 1d12h IN TXT "SUNBELT-AS;[TRM3-ARIN]"

Ah, that wasn't my point. And thanks for everyone sending me info on how to
lookup AS 2711 at arin. I guess my subject wasn't clear enough....

My point was that since everyone doesn't use the RA to reg their routes and
ASes, we can't filter based on the RA. So, when some little provider in SC, ie
AS2711 sends UUnet routes for CW, Sprint, etc we have to start playing phone
tag with the world as we black hole the providers AS.
