com/net Whois format change notice

On March 30, VeriSign will upgrade its Whois service for .com and
.net, which will now reflect registration activity in the .com and
.net registry databases in near real-time. We are announcing this
upgrade because the Whois output format will change slightly at the
same time and we want to give notice to anyone who may have to update
processes that parse this output.

A sample of the revised output is included at the end of this message.

Remember that ".com" and ".net" are thin registries.

They're not providing that information currently.
If you want that data, you need to query the listed WHOIS server of the registrar.
The only change is the addition of EPP status.

That usually appears after the disclaimer. I hope thats not going away?

I note some extra metadata fields above the disclaimer, and perhaps a
change or two in the disclaimer's wording.

I think they are going to add EPP Status fields.

Remember - the above output is from "rs.internic.net" server which
as you should know does not provide this information and only
refers to somebody else who would know.
