Average and median IP packet size over the Internet?

Bill,
Usually the Internet core routers try to keep IP packets reletivly
have the same size or without Option's field in order switch packets
in the hardware roueter backplane. Ther are many studies will be
reflected one way or another on the IP packet size. One of them
might be found on the URL http://diffserv.Ics.mit.edu.
