Thanks for that clarification on Mae-West.. I am very knowledgeable of the
physical setup of MW, but I totally loked over that fact when proposing
the question. 
However, I do not think that is what happened. I don't recall teh OC3 going
down for 1 1/2 days two weeks ago. I think something else is going on.
Plus, with the current setup, the RSs reside on the AMES side. Both Netcom
and Exodus reside on the MFS side. Which means that this scenario was
and could not have been to blame. Unless I overlooked something again
