IPv6 Glue Records at Dotster / Domain.com

Anyone with a contact at Doster with the ability to make things happen?
Apparently they do not support v6 glue records and they have been
unresponsive to my ticket. This seems a kooky reason to change registrars.

The table of registrars over at sixxs who have at least some way to get v6
glue records has been getting greener and greener, but no love from Dotster.

If they're not interested in giving you the service you want, why is that a "kooky" reason to take your business elsewhere?

Just leave.

Opensrs also suffers from lack of v6 glue disease. Last I saw on their forums it said "coming soon" for about a year.

Why are DynDNS.com and DNS Exit on that list? Do they register domains
(I can't find it if they do)?

Dynamic Network Services does, and they do support ipv6 glue.

Ah, I see it now.

And I guess the "whois lookup" form on DNS Exit actually means "register
domain", I didn't make that connection.

It's not kooky at all. If you need a service your current provider
can't/won't provide, then find a new one that will.

Righto, perhaps it's not kooky. Despite the admittedly small demand,
it just seems such a trivial "feature" to have to jump through
administrative hoops of swapping registrars for. I'll do what I need to do,
but of course if there is a way to make the magic happen without the pain
that is great

honestly I had thought this came up before (wrt dotster) and someone
mentioned after their ordeal that some jiggery-pokery with the
techsupport folks got it 'fixed'??

This problem did involve some long phone conversation where you have
to reboot your 'windows only' machine a few times to be sure though,
of course...
