Subject: Re: illegal use of reserved network numbers

As Vernon Schryver points out 192.0.2.x is designated for just this use.

No real network traffic should be sourced or sinked at this network.

Vendors which ship an out-of-the-box runnable TCP/IP engine
are encouraged to ship their products with the factory default
IP address 192.0.2.1.

All Internet routers are encouraged to discard any traffic to or from
network 192.0.2.0

How many network service providers are doing this? If not now, when?
