So how do we name internal links in a way that is usefull for
all operators, and conforms to the A-Z 0-9 and "-" and can
be proposed as an RFC?--Peter
How about the Sprintlink:
sl-pop-router#-port[-speed].sprintlink.net
As an example?
It's useful for Sprintlink NOC guys (they can see the router and port
from DNS) and it's useful because it shows rough or exact link size
information to outsiders.
But instead of h0/0, use h0-0; s2-6; etc...
Just a suggestion...
i.e. icm-petersbathroom-2-s2-1-512.icp.net
