arin.net offline?

Did I miss something? whois.arin.net, www.arin.net etc.. dead

This e-mail, apparently. Glad to see ARIN's keeping us all abreast on
what's going on, cc'ing the relevant ops lists and whatnot...

ARIN's nameservice has been, to my very cursory inspection, offline since
at least 7:30PST.

Unfortunately, that doesn't explain why it's down today, the 8th or 9th.

Indeed it does not. From here it looks like DNS problems.
We are contacting ARIN operations about this.

We are currently investigating this reported outage and
will restore any unavailable services as quickly as possible.

We will report our progress to this list.

ARIN services were restored shortly after 4:00 AM EST. We will
provide additional information to this list regarding the outage
in a future message.

In preparation of our upcoming move, we began preparing changes
for the arin.net zone file. Unfortunately, errors in some of these
changes caused several of our services to be unreachable. Neither
mail service to or from ARIN was affected, nor were DNS services
for ARIN's IN-ADDR.ARPA subdomains.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused
the community, and we thank those who contacted us directly or via
NANOG about the problem.

Not to be difficult, I had a number of reverse lookups time out at one point
this morning.
